I am a qualified NCPS registered, Psychotherapeutic Counsellor with over 7 years experience working with individual adults. I also offer sessions in BSL (British Sign Language) and SSE (Sign Supported English).
My counselling approach is integrative, blending various therapeutic methods to best suit the individual needs and goals of my clients. At the heart of my approach lies the belief in a Person-Centered therapeutic relationship and I seek to provide a warm, empathetic, and non-judgmental space where clients can feel safe to openly explore what is important to them.
I combine elements of CBT, Psychodynamics, Somatic Focussing, Mindfulness, Relaxation techniques and Breathwork to best suit my client. These approaches offer opportunities to:
Experience gentle, guided techniques to create inner calm and grounding.
Gently explore emotional experience with kindness and compassion.
Identify unhelpful thoughts and behaviours.
Consider the origins of repeating patterns to acknowledge and challenge the beliefs that no longer serve us.
Allow the body to release emotional trauma and guide you towards healing. Increase confidence, self esteem and self worth.
Cultivate self-compassion and self-acceptance.
Regardless of the techniques or theories we use, the ultimate goal of counselling is to facilitate change. Together, we will explore what this change means for you, and I'll be there to support you through your journey towards personal growth and transformation.

I offer weekly psychodynamic psychotherapy for individual adults, working non-directively and reflectively, aiming to help you find a better understanding of yourself and giving you space to think differently and make new choices in life. In psychodynamic therapy we explore your feelings and thoughts as they come to mind during sessions. This approach has a psychoanalytic basis, where we reflect on how early experiences and relationships affect our lives as adults in conscious and unconscious ways.
I will provide therapy for as long as you need it. This may be long-term or short-term, we will discuss this when we first meet. If we agree it feels right for us to work together, your sessions will be 50 minutes long each week, normally on the same day and time.

I am a highly experienced person-centred and integrative counsellor with more than ten years of experience. I work with individual adults and young people aged 13+. I can help you with issues such as anxiety, depression, loss/grief, trauma and more. Being an integrative practitioner means that I work with you to explore and understand the past, make sense of the present and offer ways to support you going forwards. I work creatively and also bring in somatic approaches and compassion focussed mindfulness, if appropriate. I also work outdoors in nature, which can be very supportive for grounding and calming your nervous system and improving overall wellbeing.
Most importantly however, is that I offer you a safe and non-judgemental space for you to fully be yourself. Together we work collaboratively so you can feel understood, accepted and more resilient.
